It has been a big disappointment with CCR-1036-12G-4S. We have been facing lot of issues with this equipment. Once configured it runs smoothly for a week days and some or other problem arises. Today we do have a different problem with it. There is a packet loss in hotspot clients. After much of rechecking the firewall settings and everything we got to know that whenever somebody click on the interface tab in winbox there is a packet loss or latency with the gateway and internet, suddenly bandwidth utilization has also problems. Got wired with this behavior. Can anybody help us with this. ..
I would suggest you to monitor the the cpu usage per core, please telnet/ssh and type /system resource monitor
Do you see any correlation between the latency to even one core using 100%?
there is no much load on each CPU and no CPU is going up to 100%. Still the issue is coming. We having stop seeing the interface tab and just running the CCR.
Yerramshetty, did you manage to solve the packet drop issue in your CCR? I had a similar situation with the same model even on RouterOS v6.33 and firmware v3.27. My router is configured with bridges, VLANs and queues. As soon as I opened the Interface tab in WinBox -even with version 3.0- packets would start dropping. The approach that has worked best for me to solve this problem (… besides not opening the Interface tab ) is to increase the Queue Size. I’m using the ethernet-default queue type. Try changing the default value of 50 packets to 200 or 500 or even more and see if it works for you.
