Packet Sniff BUG cant DO YOU GUYS TEST THIS STUFF MT????

this is just basic logic and testing…

tool sniffer

/usb1/SNIFF

is what i have for the file name.

500MB is what i have for the file limit.

BUT!!!

the file limit at the bottom (atop of the memory limit) is 30mb the size of my onboard memory.

if i start the capture it caputres just fine TO THE 40 GB USB DRIVE I HAVE ATTACHED.. however pathetic, the sniffer stops at 30mb for what ever reason.

MT?

EDIT: before i get the standard normis reply UPGRADE routeOS- already done..it did this on 4.5 and now on 4.11 pretty clear bug.

email to support to file a bug. forum users can just confirm or deny that they have seen it.

done,

i can also confirm this is the case with versoin 5.x RC1

funny thing is if you run the tool> packetsniffer there is NO FILE LIMIT

WHY is there this arbitrary one on the wireless sniffer but not on the normal packet sniffer?

why does the normal packetsniffer not work when you set it a wlanX interface (it captures a 24B file, even when running the snooper tool ALSO)? it only works on ether or bridges??

tks
