Does it really make any difference to use between:

23dbi Panel Antenna v/s 23dbi Grid Antenna

Difference is only antenna pattern. Grid antenna has more narrow.

Depends on situation, performance is same on both, assuming both cover the 5.1 -5.9 band, normally panel is cheaper, however the grid because of it’s narrow beamwidth is more suitable for the attenuation of same channel AP’s which maybe X No of degree’s apart from the CPE, For example if you find that at one location the separation between target AP and unwanted AP is 20° apart then the grid is best and it will reduce more signal from the unwanted AP ?
