when i set “parents” in a long hirarchical tree - do i have to set only de box in front of me or do i have to enter the whole way to that box ?
so when the tree grows the list also ?

in general you have to set only direct parents - in most cases it would be
one. You would want to set multiple parents only in cases where you have some kind of failover, multipath routing or something like that.
Note that this setting is NOT used anywere yet.
