Partial System Hang

Hi,

I have RouterOS 3.13 installed on a Dell Poweredge 860 with a Dual Core Xeon 2.13GHz processor and 2gb of RAM and an 80gb harddrive. I am using the system to throttle a wireless network. There are 252 simple queues installed for each client IP address. Scripts are run every 10 minutes to check the total downloads for each IP address. If an IP address has gone over 30mb, its queue is throttled back to 128k/128k. Each hour the counters are reset and another script is run to place the queues back to unlimited/unlimited.

After running for under 1 day I can no longer run certain system commands from either Winbox or the command line. For example, when trying to view the system resources I get the following error:

action timed out - try again, if error continues contact MikroTik support and send a supout file (13)

When trying to reboot the box to see if that helps I get the following output and the system doesn’t reboot:

system will reboot shortly
action timed out - try again, if error continues contact MikroTik support and send a supout file (13)

When I try to make the supout file that fails as well.

Should my hardware be enough to handle what I am trying to do? Does anyone have any recommendations on what could be done to fix this?

Thanks

queues consume quite a bit of resources, and you say you have over 200 for EACH of the IPs ? Maybe reconsider your QOS strategy, or try to implement PCQ which will considerably reduce the number of queues

Surely you mean 252 TOTAL queues.
If you have 252 for EACH ip that is ridiculous and that would be your problem.
