Passive POE out on CRS328-24P-4S+

I’m interested in upgrading a WAP R to a netmetal AX (I need a m-PCIe slot), but I am confused as to if my switch will power it via POE. I’m only using 802.3af/at devices currently.

The switch here: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/PoE-Out#PoEOut-PoE-OutModes and in the spec says it supports all modes. However in SWOS the documentation is a little unclear: https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=76415036#CRS3xxandCSS32624G2S+seriesManual-PoE.

  1. What does Low/High voltage actually do? What is low and what is high? Seems I have my devices either at ~52V or ~26V, guess that’s high/low?
  2. Is passive POE just setting POE in swos to ‘on’ rather than ‘auto’?

As manual (you linked it):

Voltage Level
Feature which allows to manually switch between two voltage outputs on PoE-Out ports. Will take effect only on PSE with switchable voltage modes (CRS328-24P-4S+RM, netPower 16P, CRS354-48P-4S+2Q+RM).

And high/low voltages are the same as provided to the device by connected/built in power adapters.
