Password Recovery on inaccessible routeros.

Hello, we are having trouble with the firmware vulnerability on older ROUTEROS versions.
We started a HUGE Upgrade Process to remove old routeros versions, but for some router it was too late.
Despite we always set a different complex password, and despite 8291 is accessibile only from our management subnet, some router-boards have been hijacked and we cannot access them anymore.

Is there a way to reset the router without pressing the reset button?

This is because we have several DYNADISH mounted on top of roofs and are phisically inaccessible .

For Exampe other CPE manufacturer have a reset button in the Power Supply Unit and you can factory reset from there.
I had a little googling on “Mikrotik reset from psu”, but nothing…

Thanks to all

That’s how it is. Maybe you have multiple bootable partitions used while the second could be unaffected. Then you can shortly power the device to start booting and cut the power off. When powering again the second partition takes place and boots up. Otherwise you have to climb up.
