Password reset

I have a customer that wanted control of his router box that we made for him and so we gave him the access he wanted. He of course changed the password, didn’t record it anywhere, and now the box needs some changes made.

Anyone have a way to reset the password without having to log into the box?

I’d say no - have to re-install…

I don’t necessarily have a problem with doing that, though I would rather not if I could avoid it.

Ok, I have the original software key and software id, but I don’t recall the version I had installed. What do I do so that I can use the one I’ve purchased so that I don’t have to buy another key? Figure out what the version that I had on there was and then hope to find the files to reinstall it with?

Or is there maybe an archive location of all the past versions?

Well, I’m not trying to put the salt on the wound  but why you didn’t leave admin access for you and made another account for him?

You can try to bruteforce your login, but offcourse I don’t know anything about it

Cheers…
