I posted a question about using Virgin Mobile 3G with Mikrotik that doesn’t seem to have gotten many bites so I’ll try another approach
Does anyone know of a pay-as-you-go 3G data service that works with Mikrotik (in the US)? I’m trying to find the right matching of hardware, service plan etc. Thanks!
Any “service” should work, as long as the card is supported. (cards are the same)
The Pay as you go may or may NOT be the way to go…
There isnt a good way that I know to see where you are on ussage from the router..
You would need some sort of notification from the ISP…
The router will not remember usage ove rpower downs.. IE power off and tx, rx counters are cleared..
There are som unlimited plans out there (realy … I have one)

Who do you have an unlimited plan through? And do you have some setup instructions for them?
Let me see if I can disclose it..
It is one of my clients thru their provider.
Look (search for my posts re 3G) amf you will get LOTS of info on 3G setup on RouterOS…
I just work on some config isues and post what comes up and what happens next…
In the end it works GREAT…
The config is realy easy in the end..

Thank you. I’ll do some searches and see what I come up with. I appreciate the input!
