PC or RB450

Hi,
I’m running RouterOS 5.22 on a pcx86 (p4 intel cpu 3.0 with 2g ram).

the wan is using the onboard nic which is: driver: Broadcom Tigon3
the lan is using a pci nic which is: driver: 3com 3c59x PCI

I’d like to stick with this box due to the ram, hdrive and level5 license for hotspots, etc…

But, if I were to upgrade the 3com card and routerOS. Will I be limited (speed, throughput, queues, etc…) by the onboard broadcom Tigon3 nic?

P.S. (source for nics compatible with routerOS?)

thanks

most of the NIC supported by Mikrotik

I appreciate your reply.
But, are you aware of a source of nics that are documented to work with mikrotik?
I understand there a a lot of nics compatible.
My question was specifically to know whether or not the broadcom nic on the x86 routerOS will be a bottleneck or limiting regarding queues, stable speeds, etc…

Thanks

bet to you use in x86

nics are, you can use cable or SFP

  1. intel
  2. Realtek
  3. Broadcomm

dar you check hardware list which supported by mikrotik
