PCI Ethernet Cards Not Detected

Dear All,

I have 3 NICs on the PC I just configured as Mikrotik Router. Unfortunately only the in-built NIC on the Motherboard was detected by mikrotik while the other two are not detected.

I am using an Intel Motherboard on a Compaq Deskpro EN

I am handicapped as I cannot format and reinstall the RouterOS because I have a Level 4 license registered with the HDD.

Can somebody help me out?

Regards 2 u all.

The EN has an Intel NIC onboard I belive..

You would be best off using a dual port Compaq / Intel NIC.

You can get them off the net from $10 to 30$ the Compaq 64Bit dual 10/100 NIC will work in a 32bit slot.. I do it all the time.

Craig

Thank you Craig,

You are right it has an Intel NIC. But do you think if I disable the on board NIC, the Dlink cards I bought will work?

I have 2 units I am working on and I already have 5 NICs on ground.

No..
Are all the NICs tha same ?
Or are the ones that dont show on their own board..

My guess is they arrent a supported chipset.

Craig

ROS v3 has new intel drivers, maybe you can try the new beta?

No more headache, just change 2 of the NIC with supported version. Try some used-NIC, it’s better supported rather than new one. If you want to use DLink, trys 538-tx or 530-tx both are good.
