PCQ Queue Total limit

Hi

Just wanting to confirm what I have set will do what I want lol

I created a new PCQ queue Type, called it “Surfer”

Set the

Rate = 3m …I am assuming this is the bandwidth rate for each Host or IP that I queue in the “Surfer” queue
Limit = 2000… I am assuming this is the number of packets
Total limit = 6000…I am assuming this is the Total bandwidth rate for everyone in the queue type “Surfer”
Classifier = dst address


So I have 50 users or hosts in the queue Type “Surfer”

Is this going to limit the total bandwidth they can draw to 6M I am assuming the “Total” number is a total bandwidth number for all hosts in the queue IS THAT CORRECT?

No. 6000 is the total number of packets that can be queued for all users.

The total bandwidth not to be exceeded between all users is set on the queue tree leaf that implements the PCQ type queue. See the PCQ wiki documentation for details.
