PCQ stops traffic

Hi,
our gateway runs mikrotik 3.10. Sometimes (it’s rare but very obnoxious) one pcq queue rule blocks (totally) traffic from some users until it’s disabled and enabled (traffic comes to gateway but it doesn’t pass through). I found this in version 3.17 changelog:

*) fixed problem - sometimes PCQ could stop data pass-through if pcq-rate was set;

Could someone please tell me if that 3.17 fix can fix my problem or not? I am very satisfied with 3.10 stability and don’t want to upgrade just to try it. So somebody might know more details about that fix.

Thanks

3.30 - no problems with pcq. 3.17 - dont remember :wink:

if using RADIUS then don’t upgrade . you will have serious problems.

could you be more precise about what problems you will have?

today our RADIUS freezed for some reason, so RouterOS was receiving ‘radius timeouts’. but ROS was still working fine (~300 online users sending accounting to radius, 3-4 authorization failures per second) and after radius restart it continued his perfect work =) ROS 3.28

And do you using PCQ and/or Mikrotik-Address-List radius attribute ?

for now - only PCQ
