Mini PCI 4-port USB 2.0 Module http://www.ieci.com.au/products/Product_Page2.asp?Product_ID=3530
Would it be possible tu use as an interface for UMTS modems ?

Best regards,
David

we don’t such adapter to test with.
looks like you need external 5V power to it as RouterBoards do not supply 5V to the mini-pci slots.

The 5V can be drawn from the Fan outage? or from the PoE/DC input with a power thief/Y cable…
And using the regulator IC7805…

Hello,

The routerboards do not have the drivers for this NEC usb. I didn’t test it in the x86 platform. Should work without 5v if your device is self-powered or you can pull it in from elsewhere.

5v is not a problem…
the drivers it a diferent thing… can drivers be integrated in v3 mikrotik softvare?

we don’t have such device so we don’t know about the drivers.
If someone have such device plugged in the router (with that 5V supplied) then send the support output file to support@mikrotik.com we could check what kind of driver it needs and if we can add it.

Next time I yank my minipc open I will install it into a RouterBoard and get supout.
