Perfect 5G PtP connection , very bad connection at noon ..

ap-btidge :RB600+XR5+Omni
station-wds :RB333+XR5+24db flat
distance = 3.5km

Band= 5G-10Mhz
freq = almost all freq tested
signal strength = -57 dbm
CCQ = 100/100 %
signal to noise = 50 db
Ack timeout = 30us

the link is very good most of the day , except at noon ,(( disconnected , extensive data loss )) , almost everyday from 2:00 PM untill 5:00 or 6:00 PM ..
changing the freq. or rebooting the RB333 solve it for some minutes !!!
this happened to another PtP before , its gone , then it return back again ..
any idea why it happens ?

Do the radios stay associated? Does the signal strength or any other stats change during this time?

its disconnected and disapear from registry ..
about signal strength after disconnection i has not been monitored ..

try changing polarity? ie rotating antennas

Are those PtP mounted near a roof?
The problem might be a bad installation positioning. If they are too close to a floor (or a roof), in the hottest hours of the day you might experience disconnections.
Try to move them to a better position (like a pole).

what about power supply? i had some XR2s on which the noise floor would go to -113 during hot times. not at night though…changed power supply to more watts and 24v from 18v. no issues since.

I use xr2s and xr5s alot…i would try setting the tx-power to manual all @ 20 or 18. and see if that changes anything..if it helps, then its def. a power issue.

the antenna’s are 18m above the roof ( at least ) , some are 25m ..

yes this is what happens ..

as I know if the noise floor -113 its better than if its -90 for example , so its a good value ..right ?

i’ll try this , BTW all the POE is 24V , and the voltage reading is 22V - 23V ..

i guess its only the HEAT , the temp is 48 C … only RB333 affected with the temperature …
any ideas to solve the heat problem ??

As far as I know RB333 overheating can be solved by upgrading BIOS to latest version and setting CPU frequency to 266Mhz

great … how to set the freq to 266Mhz ???

/system routerboard settings change-frequency frequency=266MHz
and reboot

or during startup enter bios and change it from there.

freq changed to 266 , I think it’s solved .. thaaaaaaaaaaaaanx alot friends …

How I know the temperature in a RB333 ???
