Hello,
Did anyone implemented PEP (Performance Enhancing Proxies) with Mikrotik hardware, for enhancing VPN performance over high speed satellite links?

I’ve found a PEP for Linux - PEPsal, which seems to be implemented in openwrt. However, it is an older version and I am not really interested in an openwrt platform.
OpenVPN proto UDP works very well on high speed sat links (10mbps down/4mbps up), without PEP.
Unfortunately, MTK implementation of OpenVPN does not support udp (and comp-lzo), so it makes it pretty useless. I wonder why is even implemented, since the main features of OpenVPN are not working. I’ve read the “use L2TP” pseudo-answer, but L2TP is almost unusable when NAT is involved.
