Performance issue routing thru a RB500

Hi,

I’ve a strange effect. Routing to and from a RB500 via wireless give
10-12MBit (limited by bandwith tool maxing out the RB500 CPUs).
Routing thru gives only half (5-6MBit). 5GHz Frequencies are separated
by 200Mhz. No turbo mode. No queues. Looking at the RB500 shows only
50% CPU.
This ap hangs on the backbone with one wireless to another RB500 (ptp)
and has 20 clients on the second wireless. Tests are to a RB500 client.
No Nstream no wds. Cards are R52 and CM9.

I’ve simple no idea what’s going wrong.

If you don’t need NAT try turning off connection tracking. Also, tell me about your wireless cards and configuration.

No NAT. TrIed without connection tracking. Makes no difference.
Cards are R52 and CM9. One Interface in Station mode one in
AP/Bridge mode.

This is probably inteference between the antennas. Make sure they are well apart from each others. The 200MHz channel seperation isn’t always enough. I have an issue right now on 5GHz with 23dBi panels 2 meters apart interfering with each other, even 800Mhz apart. When i am going full speed on one link the other drops packets. This is 2 seperate routerboards in different metal casings using SR5’s.
