Performance of CCR1072-1G-8S+

Hello,

I am looking for advices for CCR1072-1G-8S+ devices. I consider getting two of them and run one eBGP full session per device and an iBGP session between them. I also need GRE tunneling at up to 20 Gbps per unit for bursts.

I am looking to push from 2Gbps on day 1, all the way to about 20Gbps (at 64 bytes) within a few months.

Question: will the CCR1072-1G-8S+ handle 2-20Gbps of routing? Will it do line-rate GRE as well?

That’s a pretty specific use case.

You’d be better off testing it yourself.

I doubt I would be the only one doing BGP and pushing a bit of traffic in those units.

Your should get that provided you have fathpath on for GRE, it does mean you can’t (and shouldn’t) firewall on the devices.

I do not want to firewall on those devices. Is there a list of what is fastpathed?
