Performance of RB600A and RB433 and Intel Wifi

what i currently have as a setup:

RB600A with a R52Hn
this one is configured for A/N in the 5Ghz band. (20Mhz channel width)

That one is connected with a internet modem (80/10) on Ethernet port 1

port 2 goes upstairs to a RB433 with a R52Hn
this in is configured for B/G/N in the 2.5Ghz band (20Mhz channel width)

Port 3 goes to another NetGear RangeMax WNR834B v2 configured in B/G/N

Now i have a laptop with a A/B/G Intel card: 3945ABG

When i connect with that laptop to the NetGear setup and i test my connection:
22.89Mb/s down and 8.5Mb/s up.

When i connect to the RB600A:
13.44Mb/s down and 8.5Mb/s up.

When i connect to the RB433:
19.34Mb/s down and 8.5Mb/s up

Besides that i have a laptop with a Intel 5100 AGN
With this laptop connected to the NetGear setup and i test my connection:
51.75Mb/s down and 8.0Mb/s up.

When i connect to the RB600A:
24,90Mb/s down and 8.2Mb/s up.

When i connect to the RB433:
20.68Mb/s down and 8.12Mb/s up

So why is it that the NetGear el cheapo router has compared to RB600A twice the performance for both laptops
and that the RB433 seems to hit the limit around 20Mb/s ??

For the first laptop that 23Mb/s seems to me pretty much the max i can get through that adapter
and that 52Mb/s is also pretty good

I would think that the 5Ghz band which is not used at all in this neighborhood would have quite good performance (especially because of the high power card)

I am currently using RouterOS V5.0beta6

no body else uses routerboards combined with laptops that have intel wifi hardware?
Or nobody has this specific setup with the R52Hn cards?

I really would like to know if i can somehow tweak my settings so that do get full speed out of my setup.
It cant be that the netgear router is just way faster… :frowning:
