It amazes me that one of the items in wireless networking, the pigtail specification is not quoted by most suppliers but yet radio card, antenna, etc their specifications are, so much time and effort is spent designing and configuring wireless network and squeezing out extra db’s, I cannot understand why suppliers do not quote insertion loss at 2.4 and 5.8ghz for each pigtail (or other frequencies),
More confusing is how manufacturers quote the specifications,
“Coaxial Cables Attenuation [dB/100m]”
“Attenuation at 100ft”
“Attenuation 100m up to 1000Mhz”
Simply stating “Low Loss” item description is not good enough, cable used should be listed,
Perhaps someone (hopefully a supplier) could post a list of pigtail specifications,
