Ping 2 WAN links

Hey guys!

I don’t know why but from a week ago some of my RB’s started to shown an odd behavior. We usually have two ISP’s (sometimes PPPoe, sometimes DHCP and sometimes an IP set to each interface) and we ping from the main office all branch offices in their respective IP’s to monitor if everything is fine.

What we have been noticing is that sometimes we can only ping the interface which is being used by the mikrotik (and therefore by the branch office) to browse.

ISP1 connected to ETH1 and ISP2 in ETH2

0.0.0.0/0 - Distance 1 - Using ISP1 gateway
0.0.0.0/0 - Distance 2 - Using ISP2 gateway

And I have a filter rule to allow icmp from WAN interfaces.

In that scenario, iam able to ping ISP1 IP, but changing the distance from ISP1 to a higher number and making ISP2 the “active link” it immediately stop pinging ETH1’s IP and the ISP2’s IP starts.

We have the RB450G / RouterOS 6.34.1

Could you guys help me in any way to make this works again?

Best Regards

anybody?

Hey guys, I was doing some research on this issue and I noticed that the real problem is that I cannot send/receive any traffic over the inactive default route.

Is there any way to do this?

Best regards,
