Ping issue...

I purchased my first MT product (RB751U-2HnD), so I’m new to routeros but not basic networking.
Before posting, I have read the wiki, manual, and every example I could find.

My setup (may not be a smart one): I have basically replaced eth1 with wlan1 in station mode

I do have multiple wired clients in each LAN but did not add them to the picture.
With current equipment, I can not use WDS.
If I understand correctly, I can not add wlan1 in station mode to a bridge.
For these two reasons, I have arrived at this configuration.

Now, the issue, LAN2 clients can reach all LAN1 clients and internet but LAN1 clients can only ping router2 @ 192.168.88.1
However, LAN1 clients can reach services (web servers) on LAN2 clients.
Also, if there is no traffic across the wireless link for a few minutes I lose the ability to reach LAN2 client services from LAN1.
I have obviously overlooked/missed something somewhere in my reading and could use some advice.

No firewall filters currently and only one nat rule (wlan1-out masq)
If I have left out some needed info please let me know.

Solved the ping issue! Should have guessed it would be a Win7 64 problem. HomeGroup in Win7 64 disables Ping accessibility!
Being unable to ping these clients lead me to believe I had a misconfiguration.

The only problem I have with my current setup is: Solved!
If there is no traffic across the wifi link for 5-10 minutes, LAN2 becomes unreachable from LAN1.
As soon as there is any activity in LAN2 across the wifi link, all is good again…strange.
Its almost like wlan1 interface on the MT RB751U enters a low power or sleep state.
Checking the wireless status tab shows it to be connected to the ap, I’m stumped.
(Edit): Solved, Win7 setting again. Was putting lan interface to sleep.

Should I be using a different setup to wirelessly connect the two LAN’s?
