Hi guys,
I have this strange issues with my HAP AC2. Let me give more info before I proceed to ask a question:
INT 1 MAC:aa:aa:aa:aa:aa:11
INT 2 MAC:aa:aa:aa:aa:aa:22
INT 3 MAC:aa:aa:aa:aa:aa:33
INT 4 MAC:aa:aa:aa:aa:aa:44
INT 5 MAC:aa:aa:aa:aa:aa:55
BR01 MAC bb:bb:bb:bb:bb:11 - 192.168.88.1/24(gateway)
BR02 MAC bb:bb:bb:bb:bb:22
WAN - INT1
BR01 - INT2, INT3, INT4
BR02 - INT5
The issue is, went I ping/continuously pinging my gateway from my Linux box, it has an intermittent connection. Most of the ping will fail(>90%) and only minorities(<10%) will successful. But when I ping/continuous pinging from my Windows box, I don’t have intermittent issues like Linux box. Below what I have done:
- Changed to different port downlink and uplink, but the issues still persist.
- Changed network cable. Few network cable.
- Replace the downlink Switch to different Switch, but the issue still persists
- Use multiple different Linux boxes, some which are fresh install from scratch, the Wireshark show the same result.
Here is the interesting part, I do a Wireshark capture from my Linux box while continuously ping my gateway(BR01 - bb:bb:bb:bb:bb:11 - 192.168.88.1) and to my surprise, the issues is because the fail ping is caused by the destination mac address is to the uplink mac address(INT2 MAC address, not the bridge BR01 MAC address) where the successful ping properly ping to the bridge BR01 mac address.
Anybody can assist me with this?
Thank guys.
