below, ping speed test results between a customer CPE and my RB750gl as main gateway.
maybe there’s something going wrong, but I can’t realize what!
Is this related to your other post? The pic all by itself does’t give anybody anything to work with. We would need to know what your configuration is to be able to help?
No there’s no related post.
I’m worring about that 5% packet loss.
Config is simple. Sectorial ap’s 5,5ghz and client cpe (sxt lite5) as stations (DHCP clients).
Screenshot is taken from a customer cpe far 600ft in LoS, pinging google a hundred times.
My customer is claiming about long pings and very slow bandwidth. So I’m trying to find out the issue starting from a Ping test.
Your ping test is from a customer cpe to a Google dns server. you need to narrow down your tests to locate the source of the packet loss then troubleshoot that section on the route
Cpe to AP cpe to next hop. Etc etc
What Karina had to say is a very good point. From what you have said and looking at the pings, my first guess, assuming the hardware is good, is interference. Pings like that are very typical of interference, but Karina is right, you need to ping the AP and do a trace-route to verify where in the path it is breaking down.
See with tracert or traceroute where is the bottleneck
thanks you’re helping me a lot.
So I’m trying to understand where it fails.
1st hop = 192.168.40.1 (ap gateway)
2nd hop = 192.168.0.1 (main router)
what do you think?
192.168.40.1 is de bottleneck look to networkcable ore wireless link to the gateway
some kind of interference?
How far is the link between the client and gateway site?
What signal and signal to noice you have
What device has the client and ap site

cpe are mikrotik sxt lite 5 (5580Mhz DFS country italy manual-txpower 20/40Mhz HT above)
ap’s are ubiquiti rocket m5 with sectorial airmax antenna 20dbi-90°
Have you enabled airmax on the rocket don’t do that
What distance have you fill in the rocket?
Full the same distance in on the client side by advanced settings

Remember that DFS interupt your link for a few seconds if a radar is detect
SXT must not configured with Nv2 for link to the rocket.
Sorry for my bad english i try to help you
Yes, the distance is verry inportant for the link see that you the same distance fill in to the client also to the ap
On accesspoint side get the distance field of your farthest link and fill also in at the client side
Thats in the rocket by advanced settings.
The picture i take is from nanostation but is the same config
Thanks for give me Karma i appreciate this

you’re welcome.
distance in this format? 0.1km?
best is just 1km not with .5
How match is the real distance?
You may fill in a little more away than in reality.
Better too much than too little km
In straight line about 240meters
Normal have you change the ack-timing on 500 meters
240 meters are verry close i thought that it was further.
try to set both sites to 1 km for test
After that ping and see the result of it is better.
Let me know
One more point.
Are on SXT In “wireless” “HT” all the chains ticked so “no” all the chains must by activated
