Ping time very strange - SOLVED

Hello, I have Switch routerboard 250GS and I connect PC direct to the interface 5 (or any other). Without any changes in configuration I try to ping switch and I see the response time in ping is very slow (19ms). I expect that should be less or equal 1ms ? Anybody other have same problem ? SW software version is last 1.6.

It should be 0ms, maybe bad cable? Tried with different computer?

Thank you for your response. I already try three different cables and two computers also two different Mikrotik Switch RB250GS , on every same problem.

Any idea ?

19ms is not unusual for pinging the switch management interface.

If you ping another device connected to the switch, you will see 1ms or less.

Such ping times are normal. 250GS does not have powerful CPU to generate ping response faster than that.

OK, satisfied with answers. I will try to ping other device.
Thank you everybody for answers.

Boris
