Pinging from within the Router Board

I have searched and couldn’t find anything like I am experiencing. I have two RB433’s connected to a third RB433 on a 5G Backhaul. The third is hard wired into a RB1000 (which provides DHCP for the users). I can ping when I am connected to the system via my laptop. When I WinBox into any of the MicroTik’s, and open a terminal or telnet in a MicroTik and try to ping any of the other MicroTik’s I get ping timeout. If I try to ping the gateway (on the RB1000) from the RB433’s, I also get a ping timeout. Now, if I use ping under Tools and try to ping the gateway or any other RB433, I get time and reply size but a status of net prohibited (which I can’t find anywhere in a search for this situation).

The system is working, users are on…why can I not ping the other radios and the gateway from within a radio?

Because you either don’t have a route to the IP you’re trying to ping, or are blocking ICMP somewhere.
