PlayStation 4 and hotspot on 6.33+

Hello
I’ve got a number of PlayStation users that have been unable to connect the device to the hotspot network since December.

Strangely enough the PS4 obtains an IP address from
The DHCP server, however it will not show itself on the hotspot hosts lists or be pingable.

It seems to fetch an IP address then disconnect itself from the network as access cannot be reached to the Internet.

I’ve opened all PS4 ports and put in the walled garden server as required and stated on the PS webpage.

Can anyone suggest what is causing this and how to resolve the issues.

I’ve tried different RB versions
Static IP address from PS
Binding a bypass to the MAC address of the PS.

Really stuck on this. Please can someone help.

Thank you.

You might want to enable logging on that vlan/interace(s) and see what messages you can get from the DHCP process.

Without knowing more anyone is just “throwing darts.” Sorry, wish I could be more helpful.

This smacks of SSL requirements. I’m assuming your hotspot has an SSL certificate. Check your certificate to see whether it’s signed with SHA-256 hash, or something older. Browsers are starting to get nastier about older insecure hashes. Your solution might be as simple as needing to re-key your cert with a stronger algorithm. As Revelation said, though, without more information, it’s a bit like throwing darts.
