Hello, I am new to this forum, but am in desperate need of some help. I am trying to read multicast packets through the router but the get stuck somewhere. i know they are coming out because i can test the code away from the router setup. What I am trying to do is join a group 239.2.250.250 from both sides of the router. i have a laptop sending out to that group from the LAN and a laptop listening on the WAN side. Has anyone ever done this before ?? Thank you so much!
Does anyone know how to forward udp packets from the lan(ether2) out over the wan(ether1). I want a udp packet sent on port 1581 to go out ether1. Is this really hard to do or something?? because I can’t seem to get the commands right. Thanks!!
AFAIK: RouterOS does not support Multicast routing (which is a shame).
