please help to install user manager in RouterBoard 951 2n

i have RouterBoard 951 2n v 5.19 and i want to install user manager

please help me i steps how can install it , and what is the best version working on it

First recommendation, upgrade to latest stable release (5.24).

You must only install packages that are the same version as the currently installed system package (with the exception of Dude.npk)

If you wish to stay on 5.19, then do the following:

It is now installed. Finish following the directions on http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:User_Manager to configure it.

thank u ,but in http://www.mikrotik.com/download the v 5.24 come with mipsle RB100 series, RB500 series, RB Crossroads

and i have RB 951- 2n

can i update my router RB 951- 2n with 5.24???

Use the mipsbe package - this is the good package for 951-2n.

use this for upgrade: http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/5.24/routeros-mipsbe-5.24.npk

copy this file to your router to upgrade.

After use the usermanager package contained in this file:

the upgrade to 5.24 success
but when i (drag user-manager-5.24-mipsbe) to file menu and make reboot the router stopped and i can’t access it until make reset
and the package lost

Can you upgrade the firmware too.

Go to system → routerboard → you can see current firmware, and upgrade firmware (write me back the 2 versions).

→ Click upgrade - wait 10 seconds and reboot.

return to system → routerboard to see if upgrade is successful.

After try again the usermanager package.

i faced many problem with 5.24 , the router was unstable .
when i make reboot all setting was lost and i made reset again

how can i downgrade to previous package 5.19

when i drag( routeros-mipsbe-6.0rc12.npk) to file menu and make reboot the router stopped and i can’t access it until make reset and still in 5.24 version

I think you must do a netinstall of your router. It is a better way to reinstall your routeros if have you problem like this.

  1. Run netinstall on your computer - connect router (eth1) to your computer.

  2. RouterBOOT reset button (RESET, front panel): Hold this button during boot time until LED light starts flashing,
    Hold this button during boot time longer, until LED turns off, then release it to make the RouterBOARD look for Netinstall servers.

  3. after the router will appear in your netinstall program and you can send it the routeros image.
