I have been using MK for a while but up until this point it has been running on PC w/ multiple NIC Interfaces. Now I need to do public addressing behind single MAC radios at remote locations. Can anyone recommend lan/wan interface device that Mikrotik makes that will fit into an outdoor enclosure that works exactly like the 2.8 running on th PC.
Thanks,
There are other options but Mikrotik’s Routerboard has worked very well for me. http://www.routerboard.com
It works from -20 to 40 deg C and has no moving parts (unless you need the big storage of a hard drive for web-proxy, for example). It can be bought with RouterOS pre-installed and in an outdoor enclosure. There is a four port ethernet PCI card available.
Hope this helps,
Guy
