Please suggest the Mikroik ptp 500Mbps model

Dear Sir,
I want to use the Mikrotik PtP link at 6 miles distance with a data rate of minimum 500Mbps.
Please suggest the Mikroik model.
Thanks

waiting for your response Please??

At this moment in time, there is no MikroTik model that can (realistically) achieve that.

Then I need to go for Ubnt Air Fiber??
how net metal achieve?

Netmetals are great with 30dBi+ Dishes

I do 4 KM @ 866MBit with 2 of those, stable + in rain.

As for 6 miles. You will need to do loss calculations yourself, and identify any freznel zone issues in your line of sight , potential rf interference areas and identify why frequency you are going to use, as well as take into account your countries legal power limits for the band your using.

That one uses 60GHz and in this frequency 6 miles at that speed seems overly optimistic. You can’t cheat physics

Looking for lhg52ac, this time, only one device suggestions.

select frequency 5870 or 4950, width 80mHZ, and succesfuly 500mbps.

MikroTik. If the external environment sharing the same wifi drivers as in the 4011 made a PTP link, you would think of products such as Mimosa and Airfiber.

software and hardware are ready. only MikroTik does not bother. If he wants, he can make a PTP link with a 2nd generation 5GHz driver.

But I’m sure MikroTik won’t bother with that.

good luck

Then what you recommend in Mikrotik wireless

60GHz can be affected by rain and air humidity, so very long distances are not really meant for this technology

I suggest to try LHG XL at 5GHz https://mikrotik.com/product/lhg_xl_5_ac

It could do the required, if line of sight is good and both points are high up

On how much distance PTP Link can be established with LHG XL 5 AC and data rate? If the line of sight is clear and properly aligned.
Please share your experience. I want to Move from Ubiquiti to Mikrotik WISP. So please recommend
Regards

THEORETICAL link calculation says

  • 25 miles is possible at 54Mbit data rate, if both devices are on high towers, with clear line of sight.
  • 12 miles is possible at 600Mbit data rate

this is of course just calculator, not real life

there is no way any mikrotik gear now available to be able to push 500mbit of tcp traffic .
ac @80mhz with 100% CCQ tops at 400mbits. and that only at about 100-200m distance. after that even with 866mbit sync and 100% ccq it will drop to 300mbits.
so, no, mikrotik does not have any gear to transfer 500mbits.

you should really look at UI with airfiber (5ghz).
also LTU XR in ptp mode @100mhz will do 500+ mbits.

Don’t confuse wifi data rate with TCP bandwidth test. Different things!
And 15 miles at 60GHz at these speeds, really ?

i didn’t say anything about 60ghz. you’re confusing airfiber with AF60. airfiber is normal 5ghz. LTU is also 5ghz.
OP is asking for 500mbit of bandwidth and i, working with mikrotik and ui gear at a local community, didn’t ever achieve over 400mbit real life speed on mikrotik gear.
PS - af60LR will do 6miles (that’s like 10km) at 1gbit. our longest 60ghz link with af60lr is about 10km. it goes down during any drop of rain, but that’s why you put backup on 5ghz.

5GHz is 5GHz, brand will not change physics. LHG XL has a nice large antenna for such distances.

miankamran7100 is not aware of wifi limitation… stable 500Mbps for 10Km will cost fortune and not few buck as he wish

Ubiquiti AirFiber working principle is a pair of dishes each side, one for TX and one for RX (two radio links)
Is something-like achievable with Mikrotik devices ?
Or also bonding two 802.11ac links together in very different frequencies, using two devices per side ?

Yes, you can build it with MikroTik devices that have multiple wifi cards, for example Netmetal with two dishes each side:
https://mikrotik.com/product/netmetal_ac2

then use Nstreme Dual function:
