Please suggest us hardware config for Core Router to install Mikrotik Router OS having BGP and only routing 30 Gbps bandwidth.
This mikrotik is only for routing and firewall purpose..
Someone suggested us Dell PowerEdge R910 with Four Eight Core CPU (Intel E7-9937 @2.67Ghz total 32 Core) and 64GB RAM.
Our current Mikrotik is CCR1072 and CPU utilization is near about 20-40% but we need one 40G port and 16 10G port directly on Core router.
i try install routeros 6.48.3 to the dell r910 server
i burn the iso to a dvd
but when i boot the server from dvd ,it cant find the harddriver
in the bios, ata setting just can set “off” and “ATA Mode”
i know routeros just can install to a IDE mode harddriver ,so if that mains, include dell R910 R710 R720 R730 , Bios can’t set IDE mode ,we can’t install ros to this kind server?
