Please Urgently Help RB 532 can't work in two rooms

We have a new RB 532 series one AP and one station.
First problem is that when this devices near each other they can ping but when one of this devices in other room ping time out .How we are going to place it 5 km if it not working in two rooms ? Please help it is very important.

I also tested notebook can’t detect network more than 10 meters.

Any suggestion please.

What antenna are u using in room?
What’s the signal strength when u place both box side by side?
Do u want to put those boxes with 5km distance with the same antenna u are using inside the rooms?
C’mon… be realistic!

Thank you for your replay .
And I am very sorry I am not so experiences .

I dont’t know the name of my entena but there such thing on it ;
2.4 GHz7.4dBi white colour antenna.

It is working more than 3 m with notebooks and also it can’t see each other . Now what is you sugestion ? Do you think it will work only beetwen areas or it must work inside also ?

have you connected antenna to the wireless card ‘main connector’ ?

I connected the anten directly to routerboard.

But I don’t understan one thing it must work inside or it is only for inside ?

If Yes Could you give me working config or what must I do ?

Some time AP and Station in 1 meter can’t ping each other after reboting router ping for sometimes working ,By the way we have working d-link access points inside ,is it possible it can create problem for MikroTik ?

Pease Help

Sorry my first sentence is that :It must work inside or it is only for long distances ?

Run ‘system reset’,
Basic example AP-station
http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.9/interface/wireless.content#4.13.21.1

I have already reviwed this doc . And I did it . I don’t know what is our problem . Ping work temporary not more that 3 meter .Our problem some thing other but I don’t know what. Why it is not working ? I don’t know what to do els , I tired.

Any suggestion please ? :frowning:

Any suggestion ?

Sounds like you don’t have the pigtail antenna connector on the right port of your radio. Try changing that, or set your antenna mode to ant-b. Also, you may want to disable dfs mode until you can get them to link up as setting it to radar-detect can cause the ap to pause while it scans.

What you mean by saing wright port , Onmy router board there is only one port to connect antenna . I ll change anten a to b in configuration .

When we received prototype 900MHz cards, we had to resolder the rf shields because it did not work (just like you described). Maybe try some other 900MHz cards or check the soldering – it is not easy unless you are really good at working with this stuff.
