plz help how can i connect two access point

hi
i m new in MT. i have 3 office and i want to connect all of them through VPN.i have 3 RB532 A with R52 atheros.
i m using 128MB compact flash and 4 wireless card in pc for access point.
so plz anybody tell me how can i connect access point to access point and that access point ?

is it possible to create eoip for that or not?

i read wiki i have to use wds repeater for that am i correct?

and if i want to connect this access point to client(station) how can i connect?

my all office in different cities.

plz. plz. help me . in the forum great teacher r available who always solved problem for new comeres.

yes, ap2ap will give you transparant network or as roam network
this my suggestion:

  1. mode=ap-bridge
  2. wds-mode=static
  3. band, freq, ssid should same with other access-point
  4. create wds
  5. add mac-address on '/in wir connect-list' menu will connect to
  6. set your wlan interface default-forwarding=no and default-authentication=no basic secure your access-point
  7. add bridge interface on '/interface bridge' menu
  8. after your other ap connected, you can bridging your wds and ethernet to bridge interface
  9. put your ip/subnet on bridge interface for


    is it possible to create eoip for that or not?

add your client mac-address to your access-point on '/in wir access-list' menu

my all office in different cities.
no problem, line of sight, freenal zone, is must and check visibility of your antenna
many people success for long distance. and how calculation maybe other people will help you.

i tried to connect two AP and its working fine.

i have one question abt WDS again my dear

when i create WDS interface, i have to write wds-address or not?
and in wireless tables in wds mode i have to select WDS-default bridge or not?

second, i m using 4 atheros cards so can i bridge all of tham or not?

and how can i configure VPN?
which tunnel i used for VPN?

Hello again,

  1. as far as i try 18 moths ago, when you have to create static wds you must create by type of your wds-address.
  2. when you have to create dymanic-wds and select on wds-default-bridge=[your_bridge_interface_name_here]
  3. i think is possible to bridged your interfaces and not in 'station' mode your wireless interface for.
  4. about vpn, i never try, but i sure with mikrotik will more flexi
  5. maybe anyone else have more detail....come on please...!!!!
