PoE in long distance (70+70)

Is this plan possible?

interesting topic

i have the same question !!!

Why not. Use good cable and as high voltage as possible.

rb 260 gsp will do the same way ??

I would test it first in lab! If You use good base copper cables and min 24V it shouldn’t be any problems…

According to my experience, short answer - no.

I had even shorter distance ~45m and only two devices tried to power on with powerbox: groove and sxt lite. No success to power them with 1m patch cable, together or separate. Succeeded with powerbox only like regular poe device. What a shame.
After that i had to install power line to power on devices via powerbox dc plug.

thanks for your reply i was on a doubt to put a RB 260 gsp remotely powered by poe to save some cabling powering 4 rb951Ui

you saved me

how were you powering the 750 via POE? Voltage? what kind of adapter? what kind of cables?

Sure, via POE, that’s the purpose of this device? isn’t?. Of course was used original powerbox supply and even was checked other supply.
Voltage was indicated in powerbox ~23V without load. Even with one powered device powebox not started. Cable - 24awg (0,5 mm dia) outdoor cable. This cable was used to power on groove before.
I had no possibility to measure voltage at the line end, because i did not expected such surprise, and i did not had multimeter on site.
It’s quite clear, that the problem is voltage drop during bootup, thus mikrotik did bad job when programming poe-out without delay, when starting powerbox.

i solve this scenario by power line adapter
added power line adapter in source and destination by electric cable and connect lan cable to power box to separate vlans and connect to radio
