PoE issue (?) hAP ac3 + CSS610-8G-2S+IN

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, please move if needed.

Hi,

I’m powering CSS610 via PoE from hAP ac3’s ether5 port.
Over night, in the CSS610 I only had a laptop plugged in (lid closed). In the morning I found the switch turned off and, unfortunately, I didn’t think to check the PoE status in routeros. Re-plugged the ethernet cable to the switch’s port 1 and it powered on again, no issue.

Is there any sort of “power saving” feature (in both devices) or any other explanation as to why this happened?

/interface ethernet poe> print detail
 0 name="ether5" poe-out=auto-on poe-priority=10 power-cycle-ping-enabled=no
   power-cycle-interval=none

If you didn’t reboot hAP ac3, you can check logs (/log print) to see if there was some suspicious event.

unfortunately, there’s none, because my firewall is too verbose. I’ll disable firewall logging and see if anything comes up in the future..
