Hi!
Is there any chance that Mikrotik is gonna release POE Splitter with 5/9/12V output (like TL-POE10R) but with both support of Passive POE and AT/AF?
I’ve made a DIY splitter for 5v, but factory device much more preferred.
I don’t think Mikrotik will produce device with indicated selection of output voltages … no MT devices work off voltage lower than 12V while most accept voltages a least up to 28V. Hence their product RBGPOE-CON-HP which provides 24V 1A. No 10Gbps ethernet is mentioned though.
With passive PoE one is not limited to standard 802.3af/at supply voltages (48V) … so you can use a pair of passive PoE injectors on both ends of ethernet cable and supply whichever voltage needed (adjusted to account for voltage drop in ethernet cable … which is kinda tricky because it depends on current draw … so ideally one would use a DC-DC converter at the power consumer end with higher voltage being used over ethernet).
