POE with RB750Gr3

I’m a newbie with Mikrotik… and am using the kit to build up my soho environment… so bear with me.

I recently purchased the hEX RB750Gr3. Very nice and interesting kit.

At the same time I also purchased a Unifi US‑8‑60W switch with POE out on 4 ports to a max of 60w

I note RB750Gr3 has POE in on the first port… so plugged it into the switch, but no power. Am I missing something ? What kind of POE support does the M have? Is there anything I need to do to get this to work ?

On another note… I found out I can’t plug the M directly into my ISP as it is adsl2+ delivered via and RJ11 connector. Is there a recommended modem that would supply this capability? All I really need to do is pass through PPOE, but need to make the physical connection first. I could bridge my existing retail router… but i’d like to retire it all together… so looking for a simple modem only device that takes in RJ11 and exposes ethernet at the other end.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

For any technical info about a product, the first thing to do is looking at the product page :
https://routerboard.com/RB750Gr3

You can read there :

Supported input voltage 8 V - 30 V
PoE in Yes

When I look at the spec of the Unifi US‑8‑60W I read that the output voltage is 48V and as above stated the RB730Gr3 accept up to 30V.

PoE Mode 1: 12W @ 802.3at
PoE Mode 2: 12W @ 48V
DC Input Mode: 12W @ 48V

You can look for a 12V/24V DC Gigabit Inline PoE Reducer to bring down the voltage from 48V to below 30V.

I would just stick to the supplied power adaptor by Mikrotik.

ok, thanks for the tip
