Point to multipoint - Wireless ISP general setup

I have one general question.

Let’s say I have a network with one central AP and multiple home users that connect to that central point with CPE equipment. Each user is a separate entity.

There is about 20 users connected to central AP.

There is one more router “behind” the central AP.

What is the best way to setup a network ?

  • do you use Layer 3 on central AP - and give each user a separate IP adress/subnet?
  • do you use VLANs?

What would be the best way to set it up regarding the resource consumption on central AP, complexity of configuration etc…

the ap connect to the router, and u can create different vlan as u need.
then, ap <=> cpe wlan1 just treat as vlan pass through, u can make use cpe eth1 as Gateway..
