Point to Point at about 1km with LHG 5AC

I have set up a Point to Point link over a distance of about 1km with the LHG 5AC with clear line of sight.
The link is stable and able to hold pings of about 1ms without any timeouts.
But when under load, the pings start fluctuating highly and my pings go into 300ms or more with many timeouts and few steady pings in-between of 1-3ms.
What I’m I doing wrong? Why won’t it work under load?
Please help.

Channel using 5220Mhz with width of 20
Channel is free mostly
Signal holding stable at -69/-70
Firmware: 3.41
using 802.11

in what Country?? Allowed EIRP?

In Germany when i did use 5500 (5180-5320 is not allowed Outdoor here) @1km/ 20 Mhz / 30dBm with LHG you should see something around -53db
