Hi,
I have two RB SXT 5HnD at 450 meters (with direct vision), but conection fails every hour, 30 min, etc.
I try:
Activate/Deactive “Adaptive noise inmunity”
Tx Power in both sides from max (default) to “card rate=9bd”, (Tx/Rx signal from -45/-45 to -70/-70)
My config and state now is attached in files.
I use version 5.14, “Data race selection: Advanced”, 15Hw retries, adaptive noise inmunity, NV2, by default 2 chains, not wds
5 Ghz band is empty, no interference is possible
Show us some logs. Also show other setting from wireless interface.
First advice: Interface using Nv2 protocol ignores security-profile setting. So if You want to secure connection use Nv2-security.
Second advice - If you use antenna gain (I see U set it to 16) and link is for 450m - set tx-power for regulatory-domain.
Thanks… I didn’t know that nv2 don’t use general security profiles…
The Antenna gain… I read that SXT is 16db, so I use 16… Can I leave it in blank without problems?
The wireless logs show:
In master:
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx@wlan1:disconnected, control frame timeout
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx@wlan1:connected
In slave:
xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx@wlan1:lost connection, medium access timeout
Lower hw-retries to 5, then test it 1 step change to 10 max.
Set tdma-period to “1” and tdma cell-radius to “10”
If you’re using nv2 - do not set nstreme to enable.
You also have problems with signal quality. Maybe set txpower to 17, and check if CCQgets better. If no - try to find better channel.
Hi!
The change of cell size radio and period size did not work in the begining. I think that failed the same or similar
Reduced to 17dB, and the link is more stabilized. Reduced to 15db and stabilized even more. Finally change the frecuency channel again with the changes you told me and 15db and takes about 12 hours without falling, so I think it’s a success!
I had previously tested 15db and other channels, and did not work, so I think that changes of Cell radius and period size have positive effects.
Thank you very much for your help, I was really desperate
