what are the advantages and disadvantges in point to point and also in Point to Multipoint of vertical polarization over horizontal polarization. in 5GHz band ?

There are two linear planes in which you can transmit radio frequencies.. Horizontal and Vertical.. There’s no real advantage to one or the other, you can use either just make sure the polarization of all antennas are the same.
Actually in the case of near line of sight, through trees - as they are predominantly vertical … you often find radio will sneak thru better using vertical polarization…
But it can be marginal, and it’s usually a case of trial and error..
main reason for this is, that signal do not interfere that much with other polarization link, if they where both same polarization and near each other.
So, in case everyone use one type of polarization, you could find that in this crowded space, with other type of polarization you can have decent link, while in other case you would not.
