Policy routing - Documentation typo

whole lockup → whole lookup

Purpose of telling us?

Purpose of asking the purpose?

We are not the ones to change the effing document unless you got special powers there jackolantern

Yep, but that is a fact, independent from the purpose the OP had, it doesn’t change whether the purpose was to have the typo corrected or (say) letting forum members suspecting to be affected by some slight forms of dislexia that it’s not them, there is actually a typo.

So far you have effectively put me to sleep talking about nothing.

Mission accomplished!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Someone was in a hurry to fix it:

Thought I was doing a favour to a company in order to get clean documentation without any other obvious way of reporting it to somebody since the ‘documentation’ is nothing more than a Confluence set of pages.

Well-intentioned, but the Mikrotik team only visits the forum irregularly and certainly does not read every forum topic. It is a community forum. If I notice errors, missing information, or inadequate information in the documentation, I write a support ticket (https://help.mikrotik.com/servicedesk/servicedesk). So far, this has always been positive, and they have promptly adapted the documentation.

Well, this time posting it on the forum worked just fine, probably the replies from anav and myself (even if OT/fun only) contributed to keep the topic “floating” long enough for some developers to notice it, or maybe it was just luck.

Anyway the proper way would have been to open a ticket, or - even better - open a ticket AND post on the forum, so that the other members are aware of the issue (even if a very minor one, like in this case).

Thanks for the clarifications.
Maybe this info can be put into a sticky topic in the Router OS forum?

Which info? That the forum is not a feedback channel for reporting Mikrotik documentation issues?
