Hi,
I was writing up a basic howto on Policy Routing we use in our network, as I’d just got my head around it. Here’s the howto http://doc.thewan.net/wiki/index.php/Policy_Routing (please let me know any errors in it). The problem is in the last section where I add an output rule for traffic starting at the box. For some reason the rule won’t work unless there is a default route in the main table. Obivously this is not a show stopper but is there an explaination for it?

Don’t have the answer to your question here sorry, just wanted to compliment you on what appears to be an awesome job you are doing in ireland. Been all over the website for the last 20 minutes and I’m thoroughly impressed thumbs up in both the idea and the actuality.
