poor Wifi perfomance on MikroTik RB951G-2HnD Routerboard

Hi
I have this strange situation.
I have 951 connected in wan port with a tp-link(client) device, distributing internet to my home from my neighbor adsl router.

When I connect my laptop to lan port on my 951 and try speedtest.net I am taking speeds about 10Mbps.
When I connect my laptop wireless on my 951 and try speedtest.net I am taking spedds about 1-2Mbps.
I tried other laptops and taking same results.

I update miktorik to the latest 6.9 firmware but the problem still happen. The mikrotik has the default factory settings.

Any help please?

Look of all chains are selected. See picture chain
If not result
Try with reduce the power from your routerboard
Click on wireless and click on “advanced”
Maby is the signal to strong.

Another thing: what radiocard use you in the laptop?

802.11 B/G/N?

Same results with your configuration. Also tried to run test from other room not near Mikrotik.
Speedtest start at 5Mbps and final drop on 0.39Mbps with upload 0.89Mbps.Upload is normal.
wifi card: Intel(R) WiFi Link 5300 AGN
Here is my configuration.

try B/G only 20Mhz channel

The problem seems to be the strong wifi signal from Mikrotik. I change the channel to 6 (same as the client) and reduce the signal power.

Frequency mode: regulatory-domain
Antenna Gain: 15

Now work more stable an with more speed.

The problem is that my portable devices (smartphones, tablets) can’t access wifi when I am on other room of my house.

Thanks for your answers

Like a said, the signal is sometimes to strong thats his own signal disturb itselfs.
Wi-Fi radiation is going to be difficult through walls
A word of advice, never use the same wifi channel than your other access point. The same SSID is good

Same problems again. Some other ideas to test?

I use mikrotik on ch.6 and tp-link as client on wan port on ch.12, antenna gain to 7.

Try with TP-link channel to set on 11

Many devices can not handle channels greater than 11

Goodluck

What does it mean to set channel to 6? Any picture in regards to this will be appreciated
