Port Authentication between RouterOS devices.

Hi,

I have 1 RouterBoard 1100AH and 3 751G.
I never used these before, but I’m starting liking them… so far

what I need to do is to connect the 3 APs to the main router, but I don’t want the customer moving around the APs connecting them on some other device screwing the layout.
I thought of 802.1x port authentication, but so far I missed were I can configure them on the interfaces.

possibly I want both 1100 and 751 to authenticate each other and with a password.

Could someone show me the right direction to where find the settings to change?

Thank you for you help,
B1r0

Hi
i think you cannot do this with mikrotik.best offer for you is IPSec.run it between your routers.

Good Luck

You could add 3 VLANs on the 1100 (each to a different raw ethernet port) and add a single VLAN on each 751G (which you then assign to the AP bridge instead of the raw ethernet interface). That would discourage the customer from moving things around since moving a 751 to another port will most likely cause it to immediately stop doing anything useful.
