Port Forwarding Dies After Hotspot Turned On

Hi All,

Thank you in advance for the advice. We use routerboards in our hotels and have had great luck with them.

I am having an issue though, when I turn on the hotspot so guests will have to login to the network via captive portal, it is killing the port forwarding for our DVRs. I know the port forwarding is setup correctly, due to it working with the hotspot server disabled, and not working when it is enabled.

I have marked the DVR static in the DHCP server, and added that ip address to the Walled Garden IP List. I’ve made sure the DVR forwarding rules are listed above the hotspot rules in the firewall under NAT tab.

What am I not doing to make this work?

Instead of adding your DVR to the Walled Garden, add it to IP-Binding and set it to bypass. This will allow the DVR through the HotSpot without having to authenticate.
