Can someone help please, I want to be able to get from an external IP address to a device on the network using Putty on port 40000 I’m using a Netgear 834 router which I have set up the following port forwarding on the router 192.168.20.98 to port 9898 and this works fine.
However I would also like to use the Dude to monitor, so I intend to insert a Mikrotik RB433 into the network, I would set the IP of the router to 10.0.0.1 and ETH1 on the RB433 to 10.0.0.217 then have the device connected to ETH2 which is set at 192.168.20.1 I will also add the gateway address to the device.
Is this possible or am I just wasting my time
