Port mirroring in RB260GS fails my mirror target port

Hi guys,

I just bought a RB260GS for its port mirroring feature to sniff something. I simply mirror port 5 to port 4, where port 4 is where my Wireshark is running and port 5 has the traffic I’m interested in. Every time I plug in port 5, my port 4 is dead. Can not ping anymore. After I remove both and plug in port 4 only, my internet is back to live. Anyone ever bumped into similar issue like this ?

I have a similar issue. When mirroring, the VLAn tags are stripped from the traffic. Does this happen to you too?

With my system I don’t see any traffic expect for broadcast traffic. So it sounds like you got a bit further than I did.
