Port Will Not Negotiate 1Gbps

I have a Ubiquiti AirFiber backhaul unit plugged into a port on my MikroTik CRS326-24G-2S+ switch. It will not keep the LAN speed at 1Gbps. It will start out that way for about 5 minutes, when first plugged in then it goes back to 100Mbps. Is this a problem with the hardware between Ubiquiti and MikroTik? I have replaced the unit with a new one of the same brand and model and still get the same results. Or is it more likely some setting I have not got configured correctly? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks … Jay

I’ve used that configuration lots of time. No problem at all. Look your cables, connectors, etc. It should be almost ‘plug and play’

What PoE are you using? Air Fibres in my experience can be a bit touchy.

Hello
i battled with the same thing many time and found the following. Gigabit uses all 8 wires on the cat5-6 cable, Also ensure your earth strand has proper contact to the shielded Rj45. In some instances we soldered the earth strand which fixed the problem. Lastly make sure you have proper voltage to the dish, longer cable runs will require a higher voltage to overcome voltage drops.

Hope it helps

I am using the PoE that came with the AirFiber units.

Use cable tester
